Miss Silvia Montanaro is a Paraguayan who has travelled extensively. She comes from a well-established family and was a diplomat in London.
"My English was rather limited when I first came to England. A friend recommended me Sels College which offered me the very best tution in small groups of 5 to 9. The warm and friendly atmosphere of the College enabled me to learn English rapidly, to make new friends and to feel at home in England. Mr Vadim Azarkh , a singer and musicologist from Russia, came to Sels with very little English, and left with near-native speaker proficiency. He teamed up with one of our former Italian students to make records in Italy, and went on to produce a television programme called PEPSI CHART in English for the Russian market. He drops in at the college when he is in London.
